School in a Box is all you need to provide tablet-based, offline academic support and extra lessons for up to 120 children, from age 5 to 18 (Grade 1 to Matric in South Africa), in English, maths, science and computer coding.
School in a Box provides a solution through interactive, self-paced lessons for learners across Southern Africa. It allows learners to take their education and future into their own hands.
Each School in a box consists of a purpose built metal trunk, internet router, server, USB chargers and 10 – 30 preconfigured tablets. Each tablet allows a child access to over 4000 lessons in English, Maths, Science, and Computer Coding from Grade 4 – 12, as well as a Foundational Literacy Course for Foundation Phase learners.
Because a School in a Box can be operated offline with very little technical knowledge and no academic experience, the box is a simple scalable and personnel-light solution for providing lessons.
By eliminating the need to find and pay qualified teachers to provide effective after-school lessons, the School in a Box address a primary challenge faced by children in under-resourced schools, by affording them access to well-presented, acacdemically-enhancing lessons and content.
